Human Form: 

Jay’s really manipulative and sadistic but he tries to hide all of that from everyone around him when he’s in human form. He understands that if he ever showed his true self, society wouldn’t accept him so he tries hard to act like a normal person and tries to fit in with the crowd. He’s found over his high school years that a nice smile and a friendly demeanor can get you far up the cliché chain. He often hung out with the popular kids in high school and since he was out socializing often he became very observant of other people, learning how to manipulative them and exploit their weaknesses. Though he would never do anything to the point that it would risk showing his true nature. His friends think that he’s a nice guy and that he’s a good to cry on when his girlfriends are having issues. So in human form he always seems cheerful and kind.

Divine Form:

Jay shows his true nature in divine form. He doesn’t care about what people think of him in Eteria because he believes that it doesn’t matter what other people think of him in that world. On Earth, he has to worry about working well with others in order to get a job and have a roof under his head, but since he doesn’t get hungry in divine form he can be as sadistic and arrogant as he wants. In Eteria, Jay likes playing pranks from dangerous ones like setting bear traps in the forest of miracles to less harmless ones like slipping frogs in peoples’ clothes. Since Io’s sadistic,  it’s all in good fun to him. If he finds a prank amusing enough, he’ll even hurt himself to make sure it all goes smoothly. Jay’s used to pain so it doesn’t faze him as much as it should. He also often lies, harms, confuses and embarrasses people just to get reactions from them. Io thinks that he’s superior to everyone else and sees them as his playthings. Like a cat playing with a mouse, everyone’s prey in his eyes. Io’s playful in his own dark and sadistic way. He’s definitely much more kind when he’s being playful in human form since he has to keep up the nice guy image.     

History: (I don’t like to write tragic pasts and stuff like everyone else...but I’ll have to make one for him considering how screwed up in the head he is  ugh...and why is it so long...)

Jay had a pretty rough childhood to say the least. His dad abused him, and his mother was too scared of his dad to do anything about it. At an early age, Jay showed signs of cruelty by bringing in dead animals that he had killed. His parent’s neglected him often, so they didn’t anything about it. Jay was a ticking time bomb, and sure enough, he retaliated against his father shortly after he turned twelve. Jay noticed that his father was drunk and passed out on the couch, taking that chance to end his beatings for good. After several beatings with a baseball bat, Jay’s father was rushed to the hospital and was in a coma while Jay’s mother finally sent Jay to an insane asylum. His mother took care of his dad until he died a few weeks later. Jay was pleased when he heard the news. One of his obstacles were gone, and now he had to think about trying to get out of the asylum. It didn’t take him long to realize that he would have to act normal and he learned that he had the talent for lying and getting out of trouble. Jay stayed at the asylum for two years until he faked his way to recovery. 

When he left, his grandmother was there to take him in. It turned out that his mother had married her own psychiatrist of all people and that his new baby sister was living with them. Her new husband sounded like a decent guy and Jay had the impression that his mom finally had the happy family that she always wanted. Putting Jay in the picture would only ruin that dream. Jay’s grandmother seemed to regret being a bad parent while raising his mom, so she was taking care of him as a way to ease her conscience. Jay considered it noble of her to take in a child who pretty much killed his dad and stayed at an asylum for two years. But Grandma Genevieve was a sweet old woman. She didn’t act based on her own selfish reasons like his mother did. Jay heard that his grandma was pretty wild herself when she was younger, but now she was probably the only person that he had any shred of respect for. But even someone as kind as gran would never be able to understand his constant inner turmoil. 

As difficult as it was, Jay had to keep his dark thoughts all to himself. For years, Jayden fought over his urges to hurt and kill others. He understood that the world couldn’t accept someone like him. Murder is a crime. This is a law that can’t be questioned. Freak. Monster.Murderer.Psychopath.Scum of the Earth. He’d be branded with these words the moment he showed his true colors and acted on his inner desires. Jay had to keep survival in mind. He often took medication and tried various ways to keep his murderous thoughts at bay. They clung to the back of his mind throughout high school and didn’t get any better when he started going to university. Killing small animals felt so below him at that point, sometimes hurting himself was all he could do to contain himself.  He didn’t know how long he could keep things calm before he really did commit a crime.

Jay doesn't quite remember the first time that he heard the song. He felt like it was always there in the back of his mind, a quiet whisper at first, of what was to come. One day as he sat against the windowsill in his dorm room fighting over his urges like he always did, the whisper in his head suddenly became so clear. As the melody grew louder in his ears, he looked up at the moon, wondering if his sanity had finally left him completely when he found himself in a beautiful field with the white moon high above him. As he laid there, he suddenly lost the restlessness that followed him wherever he went and could truly feel at peace with himself. He felt as if he was in a different world. All of his worries were gone. Where ever he was, he could be himself without any worries. That’s what he truly felt as he laid there and stared up at the stars gleaming in the dark blue sky. 

Io got up and started to explore when he saw his reflection in a lake nearby, realizing how different he looked. Something in his gut told him that this was who he really looked like. To be able to be at peace with himself like this, it felt so good to be true. In order to make sure that it wasn’t just a dream, Io made a gash on his arm with a sharp rock nearby. After exploring the world some more, he woke up. He found a gash on his arm and it looked exactly like the one in his dream. As Jay switched from one world to the other, Jay had come to think, that maybe there is a place for him. If someone as morally corrupt as him was given a chance to live in two different worlds, then surely his very own existence wasn’t just some mistake. Surely even someone like him had a purpose and his cherished by god, fate, whatever it was that was responsible for giving him two bodies.

Io’s always smiling, in human form and divine form so it’s hard to tell if he’s ever upset.  

Usually speaks in a gentle tone regardless of whether he’s praising, threatening or insulting someone. He sounds very condescending in divine form.

Often insults people in a roundabout way. This often amuses him when he’s talking to people who are slow to notice the menace in his words since he’s insulting them to their face without even them even realizing it.  

Might make up things on a whim just to see how someone would react to it. e.g. Anything about himself, Eteria e.t.c.  

If he’s not out playing pranks on people, Io can be found at the library doing research on Eteria.

Charlotte Lorens (Avis): “She pretty much stalks me everywhere I go, which is a little troublesome for me considering how hard it is for me hold back my dark urges in Eteria ^_^”  *sigh*  “The little wild boar sure is persistent.” *smirks to himself, shrugging* 

Successfully annoyed her till her breaking point.

Valencia Ribero (Ivy): "A firecracker. She has the looks and the body, so I'm not surprised if  she gets plenty of attention from guys. She reminded me of a squirrel when she assaulted me that one time though...*note to self, check for rabies."

Successfully annoyed her to the point that she jumped him.  

Kuriyama Yuu (Yurika): "Ah..the queen. She was very friendly. I tried to get some information out of her to figure out her angle on things...but I guess asking her why someone as distinguished as her didn't have a guardian was a little too much for her. Well, she remained calm in the end and even was courteous enough to welcome me to Eteria...as expected of a queen, no, the queen of Eteria, no less. Though I did get a nice, icy death glare..." *smirk* "Welcome to Eteria indeed..." 

Funny, the queen acts like a mom whenever I'm with the amazon. I was just asking a simple question about one of the giant's three sizes. The queen ended up throwing an ice dagger at me in the end. It missed of course, it was obviously a warning.

Κυκλωψ (Kyklos) – Lvl. 1: (rapid-fire, 10% to paralyze for 10 secs) 

Small white beams charged with electricity. Due to it’s small size, the beams are often used to hit the opponent’s vulnerable points or wear them down. The mist inside the orb spins as the color of it fluctuates between different shades of blue, and yellow as it charges.   

Laques – Lvl. 1: (Lightning Trap, AoE, 5% chance to paralyze for 5 secs. Maximum 2 traps) 

Trap that activates on physical contact. When activated, lightning bolts explode out of the trap and covers a 2 m radius.     

Special skill: Devour - lvl: 1- (Heals 20% of damage taken or restores 20% mana used. Can only be used two times per battle) 

Io reveals the left side of his face, which has an empty eye socket. When he activates the skill, it sucks in the opponent’s energy. Only works at close-range. The closer the opponent the higher chance that their energy gets absorbed.
